Research at DoMS

The Department of Management Studies (DoMS) strongly believes that academic research contributes to shaping intellectuals who make a difference, not only to national development but also to overall global advancement. The department trains research scholars for leading academic and organization research programs and initiatives. The department consists of India's, and perhaps even Asia's, largest pool of research scholars who have varied educational backgrounds ranging from the arts, commerce, humanities and social sciences to engineering, science and technology.

Several research scholars have wide ranging work experience in different sectors. This has resulted in a unique and productive environment in which individual research scholars widen their perspectives and deepen their knowledge through rich processes of peer learning.

The Department offers three research-related academic programs: M.S (by Research), M.S (Entrepreneurship) and PhD. The research program at DoMS aims to meet two crucial needs of industry and society: (a) Exceptional faculty resources in various areas of management (b) Professionals capable of leading innovative industrial research and development activities.

One of the unique facets of research at DoMS is the eclectic mix of scholars comprising fresh graduates as well as experienced executives from industry and academics. They provide opportunities for intellect and experience sharing, and meeting of diverse intellectual perspectives
