Appearing for Joint
Management Entrance Test 2009 (JMET 2009) is the
first step in the process of seeking admission to the
2-YEAR FULL TIME Post-Graduate Degree Programmes in
Management offered by IIT Madras for the academic
year beginning July/Aug 2009.
Currently IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee are offering such Programmes in Management.
The IISc and participating IITs will use the results of JMET 2009 to short list candidates for the subsequent part of the selection process(es). Applicants should note that they have to apply for and send separate application forms to different IITs and IISc as per their choices. Candidates are advised to refer to the details provided by each of the Institutes on their websites. An applicant can apply to as many programmes as desired by him / her subject to fulfillment of eligibility requirements.
JMET 2009 is only a
qualifying examination. It is not mandatory that all
candidates who are declared as qualified will be called
for Group Task / Interview etc. Calling the
candidates for such later process(es) of selection is
the prerogative of the admitting Institute. It may be
noted that the GATE/JMET offices will not respond to
queries on the admission procedure.
